Austria tourist information
Austria has the best of both worlds: a great cultural heritage and a spectacular landscape. The capital Vienna is home to incredible architecture and one of the four largest art collections in the world. Or visit Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart and setting of The Sound of Music. The Alps, which cover ¾ of the country, are great for all sorts of activities like skiing and hiking. The most popular ski regions are The Arlberg, Kitzbühel, the Montafon valley and of course Innsburck, twice host to the Winter Olympics.
