History and facts
The Oraviţa - Anina train route is the oldest railway from South-East Europe. It's also known as 'Semmeringul Banatean' and the line has been in use since 1869. The distance between Oraviţa and Anina is 33 kilometers and along the way the train crosses 14 tunnels and 10 viaducts. It takes just under 2 hours to make the full trip.

- Train from Oraviţa to Anina departs at 11:15 and arrives at 13:11.
- Train from Anina to Oraviţa departs at 14:40 and arrives at 16:37.
Tickets
The price of a ticket for the Oraviţa - Anina route is RON 13,90 (this is including a seat reservation), which is approximately € 3. Eurail Passes are not valid on this train.
